X-Ice Director Duties and Protocol

Your responsibilities include

  • Must arrive 25 minutes prior to face-off for first game!
  • Board Setup (with on ice officials)
  •  Timing the game
    • Two 24-minute halves with running time with a buzzer every 2 minutes
    • 90 second intermission in between the 2 halves
    • Recording game results on your printed worksheet
    • Moving boards during ice makes in between every 2 games (with on ice officials).
    • Breaking down boards when X-Ice is done for the day (with on ice officials).

*Important – please let me know if any on ice officials are not there for any board setup, moving during ice clean or board break down.  This is part of their responsibilities.

 

Scoring Devices:

You should have either received the scoring devices at your home which you will need to bring to and from the rink each week to provide for the Officials or check with the rink office for a scoring device.

 

Recording Game Results:

Below is a link to print out your worksheet to report the scores which the on-ice Official will be keeping and give to you after each game.  VERY Important – you must write in all scores, take a picture of the completed worksheet and email to results@valley-associates.com

We have had one of these sheets go missing last season and many results were lost.
